Essence Music Festival Adds Nas And Trey Songs To Already Impressive Lineup

It has become a growing trend in the music scene in the United States, which has led to the emergence of, massive multi-day festivals across the country. Every year some of the biggest festivals of the world take place in the United States as Bonnaroo, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Lollapalooza and Ultra Music Festiva . 

One that may not be as big or as well known as that and deserves some attention is the Essence Music Festival.

First took place in 1995 as the brainchild of the founder of Essence magazine, a magazine especially for African American women, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the launch of the magazine. Essence Music Festival, known locally as Essence Fest, held every July in New Orleans at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in the span of three days, and has a fantastic line. 

New Orleans is a city with its own unique atmosphere and culture, so is the Essence Music Festival, which has a one of a kind atmosphere that combines music and motivational speakers with high fashion and art. In most festivals, attendees usually wear comfortable, but the essence is not the most festivals, as you can see concert goers dressed in their finery

While all that is great, is training really makes people excited as some of the artists at Essence Fest this year include Prince , Mary J. Blige, Lionel Richie, Naughty By Nature , and Eva iconic 112 only to name a few while there will be great orators like the venerable Reverend Al Sharpton , Alicia Keys and Yolanda Adams.

Essence Fest recently added some renowned artists to the festival as the rapper Nas, R & B singer Trey Songz and speaker Iyanla Vanzant who you may know from his show "Iyanla Fix My Life," which airs on the Oprah Winfrey network itself. Essence may be the only festival that will have motivational speakers take the stage and talk to the audience, giving them life lessons even having the distinguished President Barack Obama grace the festival with his presence one year.

Today, Essence Music Festival tickets are averaging $ 349 on the secondary market for a three day pass to the festival, while a Get- in price of $ 91. Single tickets are available on the first day of the festival going for $ 197 on the resale market, the second day of Essence watches at $ 231 and the third and final day completing day single tickets averaging $ 172 per ticket. 

However, if you do not mind being a little further from the stage you can get in at Essence Fest for the first day for just $ 81 and $ 65 for each of the last two days of the event. If you plan on making the trip to New Orleans for the Essence Fest will certainly be a great experience, but remember to dress to impress.
