The ‘Essence Music Festival’ is the
main African-American gathering in the country. Every year the event welcomes
some thousands of admirers for a festivity of African-American music &
culture. The three-day occasion saw its' biggest spectators in 2010, when
crowds entirely sold out the Louisiana Superdome, with over seventy two
thousand attendees on the 15th year anniversary of the festival. People from
all over the United States, north, south, east, and west attend the festival
each year.
There are as well hundreds if not thousands of worldwide attendees
too. The mass is majority African-American, however people of all races are
greeting & do attend the festival. The ‘Essence Music Festival’ is held
every year on the first Friday, Saturday & Sunday in the month of July and
it is held in New Orleans, Louisiana.
