well, the prince already has his next planned July 4. Essence Music Festival the Purple One will headline next year, which runs from July 3 to 6 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The next concert will mark the first appearance of the Prince in the Essence Fest since 2004, when turned 10 on Showcase. Now, organizers are putting together the 20th annual Essence Festival and have the mastermind "Breakfast can wait " reserved for a slot.
According to the announcement, the yield of Prince helps benefit the Rebuild the Dream Innovation Fund to “champion awareness and promote education for disadvantaged young people to learn the language of computer coding and programming.” Details on the rest 2014 Essence alignment will be announced in the coming weeks.
For now, the July concert is unique spectacle of Prince confirmed for next year - except, you know, all kinds of sleepovers last minute. The Purple Rain -maker plans to close out 2013, however, with a trio of performances at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.
