The first round of artists to perform at the 2015 Essence Festival has been announced, and it's a lineup full of stars!
The annual celebration of 21 will welcome a pot full of star performers on the main stage; Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Floetry (who recently announced a tour for this spring), India.Arie, Elle Varner, Kelly Price, Raheem DeVaughn, Mali Music, Eric Roberson, Teedra Moses, Avery Sunshine, SZA, tribe Family Soul, Goapele, Robert Glasper, Tweet, Jeff Bradshaw, Bilal, Tank and many more have been confirmed to take the Superdome by storm during the night performances at the Superdome.
Other confirmed artists include hip-hoppers Kendrick Lamar, Common, Kool Moe Dee, Doug E. Fresh, Mystikal, and Slick Rick. More artists will be announced at a later date. Comedian Kevin Hart will lead the "Now Playing" Concert on July 2.
